Speaking Venues
Kathleen Delano is Chief Executive Officer of PMIC Incorporated, a management and strategic advisory firm based in Northern Virginia. She is a subject matter expert on strategic communications, negotiations, employee engagement, training, and professional services.
Before founding PMIC in 2014, Kathleen spent more than 25 years in leadership positions at the nation's largest and most well-regarded private companies — including Deloitte, PwC, McGuireWoods, Littler Mendelson, and Robert Half Legal — where she was responsible for originating more than $1 billion in new business and managing highly sensitive strategic campaigns.
Kathleen served as primary author of PMIC's United States Government-commissioned Impact Study examining potential impacts to national defense, safety, health, economy, and technology under OMB Memorandum 12-12. Her work contributed to the memorandum's overturn in November 2016. She is also first author of "Research Lab Laser Focused on Future," ARMY Magazine, April 2017.
A frequent public speaker — including on Capitol Hill, at the National Academy of Sciences, City Club, AFOSR, Press Club, Army Research Lab, and George Mason University — Kathleen launched the #LetOurScientistsGo campaign to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining the nation's technical and scientific leadership through robust investment in U.S. R&D.
